What is the best way to dry green tea leaves after the first infusion?

I have recently started drinking green tea and was wondering if anyone knows the best way to dry the tea leaves after the first or second infusion? I don’t want them to get stale or anything. I know that you are supposed to keep them in a dark place until use, but it’s hard to do that when you are trying to dry them after the first or second uses. Is it even necessary at that point?
